My name is Alison (she/her) and as you might have guessed, I'm a cosplayer! I have been cosplaying since 2013 and specialize in genderbend designs as well as repurposing items for my craft. To me, I love the idea of turning something that was unwanted into something I can be proud of.I have made a guest appearance at a few midwestern conventions, having my own table to sell prints/art as well. One of my favorite things to do at conventions is host panels! You can check them out over on my YouTube @ Alison-Senpai. I also dabble in recording/editing CMVs (Cosplay Music Videos) and although my tools aren't the most high-end equipment I still have fun and love to create.I currently live in Illinois surrounded by dogs and a great support system. I majored in Digital Art & Design with a minor in Communications, as well as my Master of Arts in Communication all from the University of Dubuque. It was there I competed for the track team for 6 years, and although some days were tougher than others, I would always choose to go back and relive it if given the chance.Post-college my current goal is to focus on my growth as a creator, cosplayer, and artist as I take one day at a time. When I first started cosplaying and drawing more consistently, I would always quietly point out the flaws in others to feel better about myself. Now, all I want to do is help people feel that rush of putting on a cosplay and having fun with people just like them. It's so important to bring each other up than to knock them down.I'd love to continue to branch out to more conventions. In the opportunities I've had to be featured as a guest, my favorite part has always been getting to chat with convention attendees.
